Connect QuickBooks
This step lets Mabel create deposits in your QuickBooks file on your behalf.
You only have to do this once.
QuickBooks uses a secure login window (called OAuth), so the connection process is very simple: just log in and click “Allow.”
Step 1: Start the QuickBooks connection
- In the Mabel left sidebar, go to Settings
- Find the QuickBooks Connection box
- Click Connect
A new window will open — this is the official Intuit login popup.
(Optional: insert screenshot of the Settings page here)
Step 2: Log into QuickBooks
- Enter your Intuit email and password
- If you have more than one QuickBooks company, select the correct one
- Click Next
You should now be on the permissions screen.
Step 3: Approve the connection
QuickBooks will show you a message like:
“This app wants to access your QuickBooks Online data.”
This is normal — it allows Mabel to:
- read your Chart of Accounts
- create deposits for Stripe payouts
- Review the permissions
- Click Connect or Allow
(Optional: insert screenshot of the permissions screen here)
The window will close automatically.
Step 4: Test the connection
Back in Mabel:
- Click Test Connection
- You should see a success message confirming QuickBooks is linked
If QuickBooks ever disconnects, you can reconnect using the same button.
That’s it!
Your QuickBooks Online account is now connected.
